Hey guys,

Just traded in the 04' GSXR600 for the XB12s. I have wanted one for quite sometime, but never found the right deal. I want a loud exhaust that sounds as close as possible to an HD. I think the D&D would be my best fit, but can't justify the cost right now so I am going to get the Jardine. Where is the best place to get one. When I say best, I want cheap and good customer service. Also, close proximity to Detroit would be nice also. Thanks guys.

Hit up Dave at Appleton H-D. He is a sponsor on the board, check the sponsor section. It is less than $250 I think. If not, I have another source but try him first, he's a great guy.

BTW, I have the Jardine on my bike and really love it. Super huge weight savings and a great price. Very noticable power difference too! Best bang-for-buck pipe in my opinion, even though you have to repack it every 5K miles or so. Will be installing my race ecm and open airbox kit this weekend to further compliment it.

I'm not all that exhaust savvy, what exactly is involved the 'packing' process?

Drilling the rivets on the can out, pulling out the fiberglass-type filling and replacing it, then riveting the end cap back on. Maybe a 20 minute process total.

Hmmm interesting, sounds easy enough, anyone know about how much it costs for the material to repack it? Thanks...

I paid $9 for a big bag at an offroad cycle shop. Probably last me for 4 years at the rate it's going. I have a Kerker on my Blast.

Any special tricks to the 'repacking' process or just cram new material in there?

Pull the baffle out the end of the muffler rewrap with a new piece of material and some masking tape at both ends to hold it on while you feed it back in the muffler.
