Oh no! I changed my D&D this morning and all hell broke loose. It sounds like it is running on one cylinder! It will not run for crap. I even reset my TPS via VDTS and it is still not right. It idled correctly for the first half minute and then went south from there. I have the K&N, Race ECM, and desnorkel. Please help!! Should I unhook the ECM and reboot? I am so sad!!

P.S. I changed from a Buell Race Can to this D&D. It ran perfect before this. Could I have fouled a plug? Did the computer go wacko? I have the stock ECM, but I guess I could try it and the factory filter, but it would run lean I am sure. Oh I am ticked off.

greg i have the same set up but on a 12, im guessing that you might have fouled a plug, i would check them out and redo the tps reset. did you set the tps before or after you instaled the D&D because I was told if you do it before it will need to be redone after to get everything right

I did the TPS reset after. I think it is a plug. I am gone to get some. Does anyone have the NGK part number? I know I cannot get Harley plugs today.

TPS has nothing to do with the exhaust. It's only tied to the ECM and the throttle for that particular bike. It lets the ECM know at what voltage value the throttle is fully closed.

Have you reset the AFV? That may help.

You guys are right. Fouled plug in the front. Have not looked at the rear. Will it foul again when I put new in? I guess I will try to hunt down some NGK's today, but the correct part number seems to be controversial. The auto parts store has DPR8EA-9's and others that cross reference that. I guess that is what I will get. Talk to you guys soon and thank all of you for pointing me in the right direction.

Kybueller mine has done that before and it was the front plug. It shouldn't happen again....go ride it about 3500rpm's for a few miles and let it learn what has changed and you will be fine.

Hey guys, what gap do I need? Just checking! I went with the autolite plug that was the conversion from the stock 10R12A plug. I will order some NGK iridiums tomorrow. Just wanted to get something in today. You all are a wealth of knowledge and I am very thankful for all of you and your help.

You can unfoul the plug just as easily as fouling the plug by running the engine, namely riding it for 30 minutes at above 3K rpm. There's no need to replace the plug, unless you want to upgrade to Iridum plugs, which I highly recommend.

OK, since where on the plug thing. So what about the Buell Pro Series Plugs part # 32822-01Y. Any good or should I get the NGK Iridium Plugs. Whats the part number for NGKs. Also what is the real advantage to having Iridium plugs.

I also would like to upgrade to iridium plugs. A correct NGK part number would be great if someone indeed has that. I got my bike running. It sounds like the hell beast now. Wonderful!!
