I have an 03 XB9S but no manual. I saw the suspension settings for the 05's on the Buell faq. Are the recommended settings the same for the 03? Also stupid newbie question, but is weight my weight with all riding gear on? |

The 03 XB9S value's that I have a copy of are slightly different (only the rear shock compression settings) than the 05 settings everything else looks the same. You setup the suspension for your "ready to ride" weight with helmet, jacket, boot's glove's etc. You can start with the 05 settings or post your weight and I will post the 03 settings. |

175lbs. That would be my Dry Weight. Hadn't had any thing to drink yet today! |

Here are the settings I have for the 03 9S weight 170-190 preload front 5.5 lines showing compression 1.5 turns out from max rebound 1.5 turns out from max rear preload position 4 compression 1.75 turns out from max rebound 1.5 turns out from max turn the damping adjustment screws in (clockwise) until you feel them lightly bottom (do not force or excessively tighten) then turn out the number of turns listed above. That will give you a starting point. |

Don't forget these too if you're an aggressive rider.
