It started when I was lookin at Buells on www.bikepics.com , especially if ya look at the 2005 XB12S Lightning category, there are some amazing looking bike pics posted by French riders in particular. I did the little bit of research that I could not knowing really how to research for foreign web sites in attempt to find these parts. Talked to a frenchy friend of mine and he suggested using www.google.fr , which of course is Google in french, kind of found some leads but nothing with enough pictures and funky euro dollar marks with numbers next to them to lead me to belive they were ads for parts sales (I obviously can't read french so pics and hiroglyphics is about all I could lean on)... I did find one site with a few things I liked, but not too much http://www.gerhardmoerk.de/ and I don't know how safe ordering from a foreign entity would be... Anyone with experience? Or know of any good sites? I'd love to hear! Thanks again folks! (Message edited by ride365 on July 01, 2006) |

Hey Brain, I just ordered a R RC from Warrs HD in london they are a link from hillbilly. I was trying to use Daves cause he can get the same part but was very busy and I need the part asap! If you just shop hillbilly and give the part numbers to Daves or call Warrs they can order the parts. I had mine in a little over a week all the way from Germany! Also here is the company that makes some cool parts http://www.r-r-customizing.de/seiten/shop_eng/index.html I have one of there tail ends. This is where hillbilly gets some of there stuff. Justin |

When the forex closed on Fri...the euro was worth 1.2665 us dollars. Not as bad as the pound, but not great either. TK |

I'm not sure if you's are able to get VAT Forms, which is the Value Added Tax. In Germany (where I am) everything I see has this VAT added (16%) to the advertised price. I am not sure how or if you's in the states are capable of getting these forms, but I just go to the VAT Office (on base) and pay 2$ for a form good for purchase of up to 2500$, which means I get 16% off of everything I buy on the economy. Note: Not sure if you can do this while ordering through the internet, but I do this when I "walk-in" to stores. |

Brineusaf, we don't pay the VAT tax in the U.S. on products from Europe, however, on most of the web sites the prices shown already reflect no tax. |

Most sites say on the bottom in small text whether the prices displayed include/exclude the VAT. |

Hi Guys, we source loads of parts from Europe so can supply pretty much all the parts shown on the sites above You don't have to pay any tax on exports to the US or anywhere else outside what is laughingly called the 'European Union'. (Anyone who saw te England vs Portugal soccer on Saturday will know there is no union!) |
