I want a single seater lightning 12 with a big honking single headlight, adjustable ergos, and an 8k redline. |

Wait mike, don't you already have that. Of course your V-Twin has sagged a bit. |

Sorry, wasn't paying attention to the rumor mill, I need to work on that... Firebolts are definitely going to have spoke-less rims next year to further the ZTL technology.

You could reduce unsprung weight by getting rid of the tire too! |

Nah ditch the shocks and go with rigid forks too. save a few grams more, then it's all unsprung. |

Hopefully they'll ditch the D208s in favor of Qualifiers. |

I was being sarcastic about eliminating the rider. We could all just sit around and stare at our bikes. |

I've seen bikes go quite a ways upright and cruising after ditching their rider. maybe the bikes are becoming self-aware and getting ready to get rid of us! The sky is falling! It's a cookbook! Soylent green is People! Mass hysteria, Dogs and Cats living together! Oh wait......................never mind. |

I am often torn between wanting acceptance for my Buell and exclusivity. If I have to choose, I'll take the exclusivity and sacrifice seeing my bike winning shootout after comparo in every magazine. For all of those who are looking for reasons not to buy the 2007; here ya go. The 2007 Firebolt will have... 1.Not enough HP to win the benchracing title (again) 2.Too short wheelbase 3.Clunky transmission(still) 4.Heavy clutch 5.A ton of other excuses for the masses to decide to purchase the newest, lightest, Japanesest IL4 on the planet. I love my Buell and could care less if it has only 5 gears. Fast&Loose. NUTS |

I like that it has all those things. I want Buell to stay about as popular as it is now. Otherwise Im gonna have to dump a bunch of money into it to make it different than everyone elses bike. |

Have you tried an '06? Clunky transmissions are a thing of the past... |

Wasn't there a teaser video of the Uly that came out about this time last year |

There was a magazine article shot as I recall... I doubt that any mag has any info right now (except for the ver well trusted ones). I think a little leaking info is good myself... Gets buzz going. I think the BadWeb should be unofficially considered the official leak site... Anony? Out with it. |

Wasn't there a teaser video of the Uly that came out about this time last year? The "own all the corners" video was posted to Buell.com July 8, 2005: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/126204.html#POST473178 |

It won't have Qualifiers. It won't have Dunlops at all. Look for Pirelli rubber on everything for 07. |

In talking to Erik, I was informed that the '07 models will feature flip-out cup holders that automatically adjust to any size drink, from the McDonald's happy meal cup to the 7-Eleven SUPER big Gulp. Imagine that! And it won't be long before the aftermarket product hounds develop sliders and other enhancements to improve drink stabilization. |

I can reveal that it has been announced here on the Mainland that the 07 Firebolt will be liquid cooled! Coolant will be carried in the mirrors allowing max cooling and low liquid volume (plus the mirrors are not much use for anything else) Front and rear disc brakes are dumped in favour of crank end mounted disks to replace the flywheel (AEB technology - Active Engine Braking) Gear Shift will utilise a development of Yamaha Fly by Wire technology - TGS (telepathic gear shifting) - as a safety measure daydreaming or thoughts of a questionable nature will result in immediate selection of neutral. I'll keep you guys posted if I hear more... Sorry...probably should have posted this in the KV (Message edited by surveyor on June 25, 2006) |
