I need to remove some bolts that are held in place with blue loctite. What should I use to clean the old loctite off before reassembling. I have tried wire brushing the bolts but that doesn't get all of it off. Will brake cleaner work, or is there some special loctite cleaner? Bruce |

I was gonna use a scotchbrite pan scrubber but ended up using my fingernails and a paper towel. |

The folks at the Buell factory claimed that their bolts came pre-loctited and was good for about three reuses. I guess I don't understand why you want to remove it. In thirty five years I don't recall ever removing any or having any problems because I didn't. Maybe I'm 'lucky'. |
