On my 2006 XB12R I run full synthetic in the primary and it feels like I get minor clutch slipage. In the previous years I read that you put a heavier clutch spring plate. Can I do that to mine? If so then with what spring plate? |

you should be using the new H-D tranny fluid in the 06. You probably could put the heavier spring in, but it'll mean you'll lose one of the benefits of your 06, the lighter clutch lever pull. |

Have you adjusted your clutch yet? |

The new H-D Tranny fluid is just okay. I prefer the nice and slippery Castrol red stuff in full synthetic. It makes the bike shift better. When I tried looking into the clutch parts I do not believe that they are the same as last year. The clutch spring is stiffer and I believe just a little different. Will it fit in my bike. Worst case I'll buy the hyd clutch system. Smooooth. The clutch is adjusted great. |
