depends. is it blue rubber?

the blue ones are not K&N and are run dry.

The most recent versions are the blue ones I mentioned and are not K&N.

The Buell race is reputed to flow as much as a clean K&N and require less hassle with
the cleaning as no oil is required. I have a K&N and have used them on many different
bikes. DaveS swears by the new Buell race filters, and I trust Dave.

I believe you hand wash them with a mild soapy water and let them dry before use.
