Heard this may be true, do dealers in your neighborhood still stock this item? How hard would it be to get my hands on a set? and finally are these OBNOXIOUSLY loud? Im looking for a little more volume but not to break windowpanes. | ||

Yep...May 30th was the end of the race mufflers. Some dealers still have them in stock I'm sure. I know a guy picking one up Saturday from a dealer close to me. They said they had a few on the shelf. | ||

Yes, it is true..... They are a discontinued item, however some dealers may have ordered some extras just to have. I just picked up two complete polished race kits, brand new in the unopened box, at an unbeatable deal. The sound is awesome, a real nice harley sound at idle and a throaty rumble at speed, but not window shattering. People with hear you coming for sure. | ||

I just got Daves last race kit for the 9. He may have individual pipes though. As for the sound...perfect. I was concerned about it being too loud also, but it's just what I was looking for. A little more volume without breaking eardrums. Good luck in your search. | ||

Yeah I am curious about just the can too for my 9, I am gonna have Al do a custom map. I am too old for the noise my Jardine makes. I love it under accel but its embarassing on decel. | ||
