What do you use to clean the rough black left and right side of the bike. After a rain ride, both sides look aweful and normal wash type soap and water don't seem to cut it. Thanks

are you talking about the rough surface on the tranny/motor. I know vinegar gets water spots to dissapear. We used to use vinegar on corperate biz-jets to get rid of water spots after a wash job. Try it on your bike. However, try a small section first to make sure ot works and/or doesn't react with the paint.

Thank you ,I will try it. Yes the primary cover and on the right side around where it says Lightning XB9, in my case.
