Well June is here and July is just around the corner... There is a lot of things we'd like to see, but what do you think realistically could change for 2007 Here is my few… New LED Tail Lamp “similar to the Uly” Xb9r Long “for Taller Riders” New Paint Schemes.. More Carbon parts... Pro Series Cast Magnesium wheels from the XBRR Steering damper |

I could see some trickle down from the XbRR for a New Fire bolt but it just came out I'd assume change would come in 2008 for a new bolt... but you never know |

I think we might see a bit of engine updates along the XBRR line...just a wishful guess |

I'm thinking Mikey cases, different bore/stroke ratio (but still 1203 or thereabouts... I'm thinking same stroke as RR, but less bore), about 115-120HP, the longer frame and MAYBE another degree of rake, updated heads and the new rocker setup (there is a new rocker setup with the RR yes?), New colors, new apparel, MAYBE something with full bodywork but I doubt that one too. Oh... and probably a full on street prepped RR for about $700... J/K... I'll just be happy if I can get the new caliper, rear wheel, rear shock, maybe the mag engine covers but I doubt I'll be able to afford those anyway... All those for the race bike... |

From this board, if Buell is listening, I'm guessing for the Lightnings: Pucks standard on all LED brake lights/improved headlights Tires other than Dunlop 208's A nicer tail-light/license plate holder Maybe a 9Uly for people less than 6'4" tall Accessories that fit the Ss (long) Twin exhaust outlets (or something to do with "shootout" results) Oh, I almost forgot, bar end mirrors (or any that don't show blurry elbows) BTW: the Long isn't for tall people (go for the Uly), I'm 5'10" and it is just about perfect for me. You'd have to move the pegs for taller riders not to be cramped I would think. |

The long IS for bigger/taller people. I found the bars to be too wide and I imagine a taller person would find comfort in them. Also my seating position was pretty forward and was awkward at first, a taller person wouldn't have to sit up all that far either. I'm 5'11" and could barely touch the floor when I sat on the Uly. That bike is way too tall. If they had a low seat that would be ideal. |

The Long may be "intended" for taller people but I'd guess anyone over 6' would feel cramped on the pegs. I felt way forward at first but like it now (sort of like being in the first row on a hanging roller coaster), but ordered an air cover mask from Daves because I'm always right up against it. I think the hand position is perfect for me at 5' 10" but the width could be why I only have a (very blurry) view of my elbows in the mirrors unless I tuck 'em in; only the riding position's a tad too forward at slow speeds, I'd have bought a Firebolt if I wanted to be tucked all the time. Real advantages of the Long to me are a slight increase in stability w/o losing the turning ability (spot on, I think), bigger tank (a deal breaker before for me), and a slightly larger passenger seat. The Uly on the other hand is probably only good for people over 6' unless they're really used to a moto-X bike (I looked at dual purpose bikes a couple of years ago and they all are too tall for my taste). "Low" seat = not enough padding for longer rides or the off-road part of dual purpose IMO. I'd love that size windscreen on my Long though so I wouldn't have to crouch or get severely buffeted at speed (probably worse for tall riders, too). |

Ok.. Some simple day dreams.. basically repeating things already stated earlier this year.. New Bike - XBRS & XBRS-T "ThunderBolt" - A street version of the 'RR' race machine, with a slightly altered 1203 engine on the long (Ss)frame. The bike will have the 'T' option with removable hard bags or the 'base' model. They will use a slightly chopped fairing, although larger then anything currently in the line, it will not be a full body wrap like the race bike. The newly configured engine and tranny package will up the HP to about 115 (only after senior folks at H-D verify that the V-Rod will still be able to claim more ponies) The Firebolt will finally get the 'Long' treatment in a 1203cc version only. It will use the current 1203 plant and tranny as seen on the lightning long version. Colors will of course change again. Standard size Firebolt remains as before. The Lightning will get a new stable mate, the XB12SsT - a 'sport touring' version of the current long model. New colors will set off the detachable saddle bags and backrest/tail adapted from the Uly. XB12X will remain unchanged except for color options. Blast will finally get a stable mate, the P4 Blaster - A 600cc high performance single will be used, with an updated frame and seating geometry creating a new 'Hooligan Thumper' .. while retaining the compact size of the original the P4 the new bike will feature similar lines to the Firebolt series and will offer a more aggressive sport fighter riding position. |

My prediction? They learned how to make the engine rev to 8500 RPM for the RR. Applying that to the production engines would be a cheap way of getting that extra few HP that everyone says they want. |

New colors and graphics, Pirelli tires on all models. Now my prediction for '08? One word................MORE. |

I would like to see new color and graphics, and they should make the Buell race can standard on all bikes. |

I see the extinction of the 9R, a possible 12R upgrade with the long frame and swingarm, and some new plastic colors. Other than that we'll probably have to wait for '08 to see any of the XBRR bits trickle into production. |

I don't think so... I think we'll see the ZTL2 setup and a re-work of the "R" model... |

well, technically the drive belts don't brake, but the engine brakes, and the drive belt transfers that to the wheel, so you could say the drive belt assists in braking . . . but I'm guessing he meant break. |

XBRR Race Replica !!! More HP (15-20 would be nice) RR (Replica) Bodywork RR paint/graphics Race caliper A few RR suspension tricks (but not so many more to put the price over $12-13,500) Any other "bits" that would upgrade a Firebolt to "look" like the RR race bike} |

You want REALISTIC new things? Maybe not this year but possibly in the future, the 984cc to closer to a 1000cc. Written out, that "sounds" stupid. Maybe a longer Firebolt, maybe bigger motor |
