I need some idea for fuel enrichment for a 1250 XB12. It has NRHS stage 2 heads and a stainless drummer. I would like to hear from people who have actually done it and if possible provide basic fuel settings. |

You need to get it to a dyno tuning center. Nobody elses config will be perfect, and you wont be getting the most out of your purchase. And lets face it, you put some money on the table for the parts, you might as well get it done right. What would also be helpful is to let people know what type of fuel management system you are using so they know what recommendations to make to help you. I have a similar build up in my motor, except it was built by Hal's, and I have a Jardine. They programmed my ECM for this bike. I highly recommend that you get Direct link and have it Dyno tuned for your bike. Don't waste your time chasing settings on the tfi or PC3. those are just band-aids. BDWD......... Dyno tuning is out of the question Im stationed in Germany and havent had any luck contacting anybody that will do it. I do have plenty of experience tuning on Jap bikes and have used a Innovate LM-1 to data log ( and had Kevin put a bung in my drummer for a O2 sensor)and tune with a power commander, but unless you have some type of starter map tuning part throttle is a pain. Im not familiar with the Direct Link software as of now I dont have any type of tuning device on the bike Im about ready to fire it up for the first time so I was hoping somebody could make a suggestion as what they used and some numbers to start with. |

If you're in Germany contact Jens over at Hillbilly-Motors. I'm sure he can get you set up properly. I met him at Daytona. He seemed like a really nice guy and he has the skills to pay the bills! Where are you in germany? I left in 2005 and there was a small Buell specific shop in a small town just north of Schweinfurt. I think the town was called Laurel. If you want to try to find it, I can do a little research and make sure that is the town. Jason |

Thomas, this is about as good as I can do for you. From Schweinfurt go north on B19, about 5 minutes or so, just past Oerlenbach turn right, there will be a sign for Rannungen, when you get there follow the sign to Poppenlauer. I'm real sure this is the right town. It's a small shop, look for some tubers in the window. Disclaimer-I've been in the states for almost 18 months, the shop was there when I left, hope it still is. Not 100% sure he has a dyno, but pretty sure . He speaks great English and his wife speaks it well enough. If I can remember the name of the shop I'll let you know. Jason |

Wasn't Hillbilly-Motors able to direct you to someone that could dyno your bike? Seems strange that they wouldn't know a shop that could help you out, but then again the language barrier can pose problems when dealing with technical issues. BDWD......... Jason, thanks alot I will try to get there Thursday or Friday. Diablobrian, I couldnt even get anyone to talk to at Hillbilly-Motors Motors all of there sales are handled through Goltz, Hillbilly-Motors motors e-mails get returned and there phone number doesnt work. Goltz told me that they no longer dyno customer bikes only there own. Goltz can sell me whatever i need but they dont do any tuning either. |
