Is it possible to remove the buell logos from the air box cover? I honestly don't like the look of them next to the "streetfighter" appearance of the bike, they don't really match. | ||

Do it now before the surrounding plastic fades. Then you'll have a nice shadow.  The winner is the one that has the most fun. | ||

warm them up with a hair dryer and they should peel off pretty easily. Take you time. I'd rather sweat than bleed, wouldn't you? White is definitely the FASTEST color Buell. | ||

Just grab and edge and peel (heat not needed). Goo Gone works nice to remove any leftover glue. I removed mine a few weeks ago to dye the plastic. I planned to leave them off at the time but after a few days decided I liked them on better. | ||

I just got done putting a big rubber "x" on my bike! See my new and improved profile pic! If you use a tank bag those things rock! Too bad the factory won't supply them in colors and we have to make our own. I'd rather sweat than bleed, wouldn't you? White is definitely the FASTEST color Buell. | ||

Diablobrian- Where did you get your "X" from? I would like to order one for my tank bag but my local dealer couldn't figure out if you could actually buy that part. Also, when I was taking the emblems of of the airbox I scratched the plastic with a terry towel while trying to get the goo off. Is there anything out there that will take care of the scratches for me? What product gets rid of the sticky residue best? Kilgore | ||

Jak, use some cloth polishing wheels that attach to a drill. I got a set from Sears with some polishing compound sticks. I use these for everything from the headers to the plastic. I crashed in a corner once and scraped up the plastic pretty deep. I sanded out the grooves then used the polishing compound and wheels to buff back to original finish. You just have to be careful to not get the plastic too hot. It gets hazy if you do. | ||

the local auto parts store had an adhesive used for trim on cars made by 3m. Make sure your layout lines are clearly marked. I used a tape outline of the X.
