I __THINK__ Ridgecrest is over by Bakersfield...right? If so...here are some options: - Highway 190 going east off of I5 towards Porterville and beyond is good up into the mountains. - Highway 33/58 going west from I5 towards Santa Maria/Santa Margarita is good. - Frazier Park Road going west from I5 towards 166 is a great ride...kind of short but wonderful views. You can turn right on 166 to head back to 33/I5. Otherwise I would think there is some good stuff in the mountains north of Porterville. I have heard good things from buddies who live in the area but have not had much time to explore up there. (Message edited by lovematt on May 27, 2006) |
