i have the service manual and was wondering if any of you have removed the header without tearing the entire bike down...My exhaust lost another nut so i'm forced to replace the studs.

If you go by the book it'll take ya about an hour.
Short cut don't always save time.

Which header? If it is the back one, my dealer is 3 hours in and not done yet.

I assume the 1 hr is for the front pipe??

takes me about three (3) hours to get my header off and back on.

the first time took a lot longer. but now that i have done it a bunch of times it is much easier to do.
