To make an XB9S into a "Low" model, what would you need? I'm guessing the seat and shock are different, but what else? Front forks? |

On the M2L it's fork bits (including sliders),seat, shock & kickstand. I don't have the XB9S book, but every discussion on the M2 forgets Kickstand. |

Don, yep....seat, shock/forks kickstand. They did it right though and re-speced the shock and fork springs to work with the reduced suspension travel. Different valving as well. i think i see where you are heading with this....have kate try a standard S with the low seat and see if that works. Then its a simple matter of changing the seat if you need to take it out for a test run, or something |

Have digital will travel: Measurements: xb9s fork (left) is about 1.5 inches longer than the xb9s_low (right), 4.75" vs 3.25" for the shiny area there. Note the custom paint job on the left and the orange seal (new wheel bearings) on the right |

Wes, I was just thinking of the savings of buying a used XB9S for Kate and doing the conversion to a "Low" myself. Figured It would still be cheaper than buying a new one, but..... ......I like your idea better...... -Don |
