Nice machines! Its about time to hack the tail off of the lighting, and a new model drummer would look and sound sweet on your R. |

hack off? nah...i went with the Trojan RRC tail unit and Rizoma 29mm clamps/bars, wait 'till you see how nicey nice it's gonna look. them gold rims are gettin' painted black just like on the R as for the Drummer...i'm confused which one i want, i don't want it too loud, the Buell race muffler pn the S is actually just perfect, sound wise. |

The rim tape spoils the stealth look. That, and everyone knows it's a cheap accessory. Rocket |

i suppose Valentino Rossi's bike is also full of cheap accessories? LOL i think it breaks up the wheel/tire perfectly. Now you know where the rim ends and tire begins. and if i get tired of it, i just pull it off.

In my opinion the rim tape highlights your wheels, making the whole bike look bottom heavy. More wheels than body. The XB's for me have always looked like too small a bike inside the wheels. Especially so the upper part of the body. I see the whole black thing as detracting somewhat from that, and it looks good. The rim tape defeats that for me, and it looks tacky. But it's you that has to ride it lol. Rocket |

I would never use rim tape but it looks good on his bike, just not mine. Nice scores on the bikes. |

i suppose Valentino Rossi's bike is also full of cheap accessories? Having had the opportunity to view an 05 M1 at close quarters, I can confirm that the rim tape is probably the cheapest accessory on the whole machine The tape on the front wheel was full of wrinkles c/w thruppenny bit effect:
The tape on your bike, while not to everyone's taste, actually looks better. |

Personally, I think the tape looks good on the black bike. Gives it a touch of color. But, hey, that's just me... rt ...different strokes for different folks... |
