Author Message   Hogs Posted on Tuesday, May 09, 2006 - 09:51 pm:        Hi guys, I just rotated my engine down by the book of course all is well, Installing a Tom Beson header and muffler system, ... One question though to those that may know, It seems that the throttle cables have a alot of tension on them when its lowered down, And the book does not say to remove them, Just wonder if anyone else has came across this plm. Seems like IF you disconect them all wd. be better?? Anyone run into this themselves?? IF ya go to 3-8 engine rotation for service I can`t see it mentioned there at all, And I guess if you are just replacing the headers that should be all one has to do to do that???? Maybe turn the bars to the left if you can?   Mr_cuell Posted on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 - 08:04 am:        Sorry bout that - didn't notice I was in wrong section. But check out 3-17, line item 18. They tell you to connect them, so I assume they must have meant to have them disconnected, but unintentionally omitted it from the procedure. I had no such tension on mine, so I am thinking when I saw the tension, I assumed I must have missed a step, and went ahead and disconnected them.   Percyco Posted on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 - 04:29 pm:        Why not just pull the throttle assembly off the handlebars and let it hang ?   Hogs Posted on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 - 06:13 pm:        Percyco, Thanks buddy for your input, But its not at the bars its down around the bottom of the coil inside the engine area etc.etc.. Anyways thanks guys got it all worked out now...
