Mkay, i know this has been posted, but would like some clarification. When I bought bike, mileage was great.. now with new NGK Iridium plugs, K&N, stock can and ECM, mileage is like i dunno 110 per fuel light. I used to get way more.. like 210 or so.. now it is 110.. and when fuel light goes on I normally fill it up right away.. 2.7 - 3.1 gallons.. usually is the fill up amount.. i think I am averaging 33-39 MPG. is this normal? am I running to rich? I dunno, i want the mileage i had before.. What would you all recommend? Thanks |

You have a different bike than mine but stock pipe/ECM with K&N filter I never got more than 120 miles (usually about 110) before the light came on and put in about 2.7 - 3.0 gallons each time. Adding a Drummer and Race ECM has not changed this much...might be closer to 120 than 110 now but pretty much the same. I am amazed that you would get anything close to 200 miles on a single tank on that bike...but will have to take your word for it. I would check the plugs and see what they look like...if they are nearly black and 'wet' then you might be running rich. You might also look into making sure your static timing is right and the TPS is properly set (i.e. TPS Resets should be done every once in a while...~10,000 miles or so is recommended). |

There is no way you got 210 miles to a tank. If you used every single drop of fuel in the tank (3.7 gal) then you would have to average almost 60 mpg. I usually get around 115-120 miles out of a tank and that is pushing it. I have K&N, Race ECM and Drummer. I'm heavy on the throttle and run the mountains every weekend. |

No sweat....If that was true then I just had to know your secret. $3.15 a gallon her in Atlanta.....that would sure stretch my dollar a little further. |

The problem I have is that I waste all of my increased gas mileage from the bike because i can't resist taking the long way home all the time....the very long way home. |
