Read all the posts. Searched everything. Q's I have vs. stock, as a point of reference. 1) Room aft. Do you sit further back from the bars? 2) Room for the legs. Are you higher and farther from the pegs or closer? 3) Comfort. Work as advertised for long riding days? TIA Stretch |

i have the corbin seat. it is waaaay better than the stock seat.you dont sit farther back, but there is much more support on the seat and the back part to hold you in place. the front area is a little wider, so it appears that the seat is taller, but it isn't. It's just harder to flat foot. im 5'9 and i cant flat foot it with the corbin, but i havant had any problems. at least with this seat there is some padding for my girl and i can ride for hours instead of about 30 min before my butt was killing me. havent tried the select seat so i have no answers on that. American Sport Bike has two styles for the corbin, a low back( which i got ) and a high back ( not good for passengers. good luck |

Ok, so the low back if you tow somebody. I am tall, about 6'4" ish, and am looking to ease back a little bit, maybe an inch or so. Was thinking about the R tail for a while, but it doesn't look as comfy as either of the 2 seating options. The other thing is turn around time. Takes a while to get anything right now. Nobody has anything in stock at the moment. Just tried American Sport Bike, and they said that I would have to custom order mine if I bought through them. There is a big waiting list for the select through DAves, and no local dealers have them in stock. No streetfighters either. So seats are kind of scarce. I may buy a used streetfighter if the one in the classifieds is still available, and order one later, once the rush has subsided, if ever. WHo knows? Stretch |

You might want to consider the CityX seat. When i bought my 12S, the prior owner had done some modifying to the seat foam on the stock seat that he was proud of. Didn't suit me, so for lack of knowing any better, I bought a Streetfighter seat, because that's what Buell advertised as an accessory on their web site. Better, but not what I was looking for. I like the higher, flatter City Cross seat, and it was a lot cheaper too. If you can't find one in person, go to the web site and eyeball the XB9SX model, I'm only 6' but the extra inch does add quite a bit of leg room. On top of that, a machinist friend extended the rider peg brackets by about an inch. There's nothing I don't like about the seating position now. |

Love my Streetfighter seat... I'm 6'3" and it makes all the ergonomics better. |
