What'up guys, first of all, i'm a new member, had my city/x for about a year and havent really done much to it yet other than a d&d pipe and hacking off the cheesegrater. here's the question, has anyone tried to swap a swing arm off of XB9Ss to a regular XB. |

Depending on what year Sx you have will depend on whether or not you can think about it. The '06 models have a different mounting at the engine then the 05's and down. I also assume you mean an XB12Ss Lightning Long. |

I wasn't aware they changed the swingarm mount on the motor. I had thought that was the same since they billed the RR motor as a bolt-in for the older model XBs. If they are indeed a bolt-in then the swingarm mounts should be the same. I thought the rear motor mount was different, but also a bolt-on part. It is an interesting idea though, retro fitting the new lighter swing-arm. dimensionally it should be the same if the mount to the motor is the same since the sprockets and belts stayed the same dimensions. |

IIRC the bearing dimensions and bolt are different, and possibly the dimension of the mounting area. The RR 'motor' is a bolt in to the 'frames' of the older model XB's but not the swingarm. |

The oil line posistioning is different, and I remember reading that they wouldn't interchange. But I dont know for sure. |
