Hey on a new team against the factory guys 13th is doing VERY well. And that is in practice, not in the race. |

You are right, it is 13th out of 26. I was looking at the Superbike Planet post that only listed the first 15. |

In any case... It's all just practice. I'm sure everyone will get faster . |

I haven't been spending too much time on superbike planet recently. Not since the whole RR thing. |

Is he the only Buell Racing this weekend? Also I seen that he is on an XB9r?? What happened to all of the teams that were in the Daytona 200? |

The RRs are not running at Barber. There was an announcement to that effect a week or so ago. |

The track was apparently damp to, so those times really mean nothing wrt dry times. That's not to say that I think that Mike will be dominating as soon as the track dries out, but I'm thinking maybe top ten. |

With a dry track this afternoon Mike Hale ended up with a 22nd out of 30 bikes that qualified. Mark Hatten on a Ducati 749R didn't qualify. According to Superbike Planet... Buell announced they were withdrawing their XBRR Formula Xtreme bike until they worked out the bugs, but Mike Hale is here to race a Classic Harley Davidson Buell. "We built one of the older bikes," said Hale this morning. He said things were going pretty well for the American machine -- that is until the engine blew in qualifying, bringing out the red flag. Jason DiSalvo took the top spot with a 1:27.143. (Message edited by jima4media on April 21, 2006) |

I was there and during the race, it was getting KILLED by the other bikes. Looked like he was in slow motion. Then someone told me about him blowing the engine in qualifying. They told me he was running a STOCK motor! I don't believe that, it didn't sound like a stock motor. Sounded sweet! I don't think he finished the race though. Never saw him again with a few laps to go. |

Probably a stock motor with race pipe etc. He was probably down over 30 hp from the race motor. |

That thing DID sound sweet! We were sitting at turn two, he appeared to be babying the throttle quite a bit through that long carosel (sp?). I was bummed when I didn't see the buells in the paddock. I must have missed his tent, I was looking forward to seeing some buell action. |

I was on the hill at the back straight for the FX race. Took this picture of the lone Bueller. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/chadhargis/Barber%20AMA%20Races%204-2006/ P1010034.JPG |
