I want a sling bag! The HD dealer here didn't have the hat giveaways. I doubt they'll have the sling bag. If anybody has an old sling bag they're not using, I'll take it off your hands! | ||

I usually send so much of the stuff out to Badwebbers that i don't even get one. I remember one "free" t-shirt that ended up in Europe somewhere and it cost me like 20.00 to send my "free" shirt! This year I have the Buell demo fleet coming May 26th and 27th so I am going to need my sling bags for that. However, if anyone here just can't get one any other way I will do my best to hook you up | ||

I got an even older one, from 2 years ago. Its starting to come apart now, I need to get one of the new ones.  It just has an embroidered White Buell logo on the back of that folded down pocket. and it has a mesh side pocket thats great for water(read: beer) battles and one on the strap for a cell phone. I got a bag last year and one the year before for doing a test ride. I had no clue at the time that I would be buying a new Buell soon. I love my Uly. I use my sling bags as bag liners/organizers for my hardbags. Not bad for free. | ||

I got my bag last year because of my friends here on badweb. I cannot test ride a new bike without fitting an electric shifter, to it.....not likely. The one I have on my bike cost around $1400, and was quite invasive and time consuming to install. Technically it's actually a triptronic system with ignition interrupt and other gadgets. Translogic does make a nice product BTW. I guess I'll try to get the dealer to work with me because I am a Buell owner. Either that or depend on the largess of the badweb again. | ||

Daves, I dont have a local dealer that gets these that will give them up to someone that is not a regular customer. I have yet to find one that I will return to again. The one in Jersey and the one in Willow Grove, PA are next on my list to try. But anyway, back to my original question, can I have one of your bags, I'll pay for shipping too. | ||

This is the "BUELLschite" "i" went through with my Dealer person ... Went to get a "SLING BAG" ... Was told that "i" had to have a tab out of the "IT FOLDS, IT'S FREE CAP" ... "i" said that "i" had the "CAP", but did not know about the "TAB" to get the "SLING BAG" ... With a promise that "i" would bring in the "TAB" "i" received the "SLING BAG" ... Whent home got the "CAP", made a copy of the "IT FOLDS, IT'S FREE" and "FREE SLING BAG" offers ... Returned to the Dealer person showing that my "CAP" had no TAP ... The Dealer person stated they have to have THE TAP before the SLING BAG is given ... "i" showed the person what "i" had printed out which noted nothing about a TAB TURN IN ... The person restated that this is the way program was to be handled ... Needless to say, JUST MORE "BUELLSCHITTE" !! | ||

I went to my local store today. I have a sling bag so I really didn't care if I didn't get one. I was HIGHLY disappointed about not being able to demo ride the Uly though. They were letting them take a test ride, but only on the 12R, with a race kit. I told him, I have the 12, all I want to do is test ride the Uly. "Do you want to trade your 12 in?" No I want to keep it, I want to test ride the Uly because if I get another bike, I plan on keeping my 12R. They wouldn't let me friggin test ride it. | ||

Myself and 3 others drove 60 miles one way to Rochester NY to get ours today. It was a piece of cake, showed MC license, signed disclaimer, filled out paper to recieve stuff in the mail, zipped around the parking lot on a XB9S and was handed one hell of a nice bag. | ||

Sounds like the "participating dealers" are few and far between . Also sounds like Buellistic ran into a dealer that was making up his own rules. Need the tag off the give away hat ? Damn....if that isn't a line of total BULL$HIT . The Buell web-site has a list of dealers that are doing the demo/bag give away. Find a close one and call before you go, that's what we did. I think I had 8 people come in and Demo a Ulysses today and all got a bag. I even had some regulars that decided that they would come in during the week sometime to do the ride since we were so busy. | ||

we had alot of people come and test ride the buells today. i was in heaven, lol. even got my bag for taking the uly out finally. that thing is a riot! | ||

HINT: If you are asking for a free bag from one of the sponsors, why not just buy a couple shirts and ask them to toss in the bag. At least, that way, they can cover the shipping. Just considerate..... | ||

Court, that's a good idea, they can use the bag for a shipping container, in a box of course... Something screwy with the participating dealer list on the Buell bag giveaway... Looked up Texas and only one of the three local (D/FW) area dealers are listed, and a few dealers that don't even sale Buells anymore are listed??? Kevin | ||

Here is a list of all Buell events from the Buell web page. It looks like I'd have to ride a long distance to get a "free" folding hat or sling bag by doing a demo ride. If anyone here knows of a way to get them let me know please. I'll even consider purchasing them and am certainly willing to pay any costs for shipping.
