Hey guys, I have a question about how to install the frame pucks. I bought a set and it seems like it fits better if the back of the puck goes over the crease in the frame a little... is this how you install it? A lot of pictures like the one below make it look like it is actually in front of the crease a little bit but like i said it seems like it fits better if the back of the puck goes slightly over the crease. How did you guys do it? Thanks.

IMO, that is too far forward. You sound about right. |

Would frame sliders do the same in protecting the frame? I was thinking of sliders instead of pucks. Thanks, Bradley |

Thanks 99buellx1, anyone have pics of theirs? Or any other people who agree that they should be back further? I don't want to waste 40 bux by installing them wrong and not be able to move them Thanks again. |

Acab I agree with 99buellx1 that the picture inserted with your initial post looks to far forward. I installed mine this weekend on a 2003 XB9S and they fit into the rear verti crease and the center crease. Spend time moving them around before you start the cleaning/activator surface process and the best fit (slightly over the crease as you felt) will become apparent. Make sure you practice the steps to align the puck placement before you have the activator and clear covering removed as you only get one chance. The lining the puck with the pencil outline to apply activator was useful for final placement as well. If you are not steady have someone that is assist. Good luck Wayne |

Mine are right in line with the crease.(looks like one flat line), and I have proof that it didn't affect their performance. Been on there for 2 years now, 1 wreck, and several tip over's. |

I just installed mine this weekend, and they are actually molded to lip over the vertical crease. That pic must be of an origianl version or something. |

Acab - just went down and had a look at mine...they're definitely further back than that initial picture...so i'd agree with where you're putting them (Message edited by lpowel02 on April 17, 2006) |

Just installed mine last weekend. Slightly over the crease fits perfectly. |
