There have been some stories about damage done to the front motor mount when using
the LSL sliders. I do not know if this is true or not. The pucks have proven themselves
to be reliable in many crashes and are much less expensive.
Food for thought.

You buy the frame hardware for the $139, then you have to add the $59 pads to them, your color choice. So you have 139+59 and added shipping costs = not cheap.

I bought these one week before the Buell frame sliders came out, I have both installed on my XB9r. If I had it to do again, I'd probably just go with the ones that Buell makes and also use axle sliders and bar end sliders.

Good luck with your purchase.

There are several photos thru out this forum, I've posted of my bike with the 2 sets of sliders.

Are the ones that are on your bike in the picture not LSL? They look like they are. And can you point me in the direction of the Buell Sliders. I don't guess that i've seen them...Thanks, Bradley

Bradley

The Buell Frame Pucks can be purchased from our Buell dealer sponsors. I purchased mine from Dave along with the Dark Horse Moto axle sliders. If you use Dave make sure you let him know you are a BadWeb member to get a discount. The Dark Horse Moto axle sliders can also be purchased direct from them. DHM a sponsor as well. I put them on this weekend and am pleased with the Buell Frame Pucks and DHM axle sliders.

The photos show the LSL frame sliders, Buell frame pucks and my own design of the axle skate board wheel sliders.

With the use of the frame puck and the LSL frame sliders I'd think more might be protected and the motor mount might not take the hit as hard. The more points of impact there are the less strain on any one single point. It makes sense to me and that's all that counts.

Do you remember exactly what you used for your axle sliders? I can't seem to find anyone that that has them remembering what they used as far as mounting through the axle, Thanks, Bradley

Details listed here:

I like the aluminum sliders that our sponsors have on here. They are another $20-40 and they look like they would handle well in an accident.

Instead of the stainless allen head bolts you could always go with a chrome style from your local aftermarket HD store.
