...they said bring it in for 8.00am and it will be ready for 11.00am..I told them about the 2 oil leaks, one from the oil cooler and the other dripping over the muffler. At about 10.30 they said we have bad news..the leak over the muffler was the engine sprocket oil seal, which they didn't have in stock..I would have to leave the bike..I said no way..I have ridden 110 miles for the service and had no means of getting home. Anyway, to cut a long story short, they phoned around to other dealers and found one..I was delayed about 3 hours, and got home about 5.00pm. I checked for leaks and there were none ! I had Formula + in the tranny, but just had regular 20/50 in the engine. I want another 3000 miles before I go to synthetic. All's well that ends well. Mike |

I'm curious about your leak by the oil cooler? I have a new XB12Ss and my oil cooler by where the hoses connect to it theres a tiny bit of oil that was like "sluged" on almost, not really sludge but it wasn't like dripping. Nor have I seen any puddles or drips of any kind, I was just curious if this is what you had going on or if yours was different? |
