Ditto, I bought my XBs the end of September last year. I've got over 1,100 miles on it already (through a Pennsylvania Winter). That may not be much to some, but to me, I haven't ridden that much on anything else, ever. (Except for my Cushman Scooter, 5000 miles in 10 years, longest one day trip 300 miles). |

How the hell did the guy get that bike in a hotel room? If you don't take your bike in your room, you are making a big mistake by inviting theft or damage. My S3 fits just fine with the mirrors folded. I put the free paper to good use that I get at the front desk - keeps from marking the carpet. Only word of advice, let the motor cool down. The smell of a hot motor in a small hotel room can be pretty bad. I can't say anything about taking it to bed though - I don't like lying in the wet spot! |

To add to my post above. Just got back from a nice little 60 miles through the mountains of Upstate NY. Now that I finally have the suspension set to my liking and have figured out the bikes handling (have almost 600 miles on it now) <fanboy> I really love my XB12S. It is by far the coolest, most fun to ride bike I have every owned. I now do not miss my SV at all. So the transformation is complete... </fanboy> That being said I now see why people love their Buells. I do not think I that I will be taking it to bed soon, although I do love twins (I married one ). |

Doon, Welcome to the madness! The SV aint a bad machine. I too went from having both an SV and a couple Buells to just having the Buells. Don't feel any regret. |

Slaughter: Yeah I really liked my SV. It was the reason I bought a sportbike again (I have a cruiser also). I am allowed 1 sportbike for me as long as I keep a cruiser for my better half to ride with me on. I rode the heck out of that SV. It was comfortable, it was light, and it had a V twin. Actually If I get the urge to ride one again, my brother still has his in my garage I finally got an XB after lusting after them for a couple of years, and the first couple hundred miles I was kinda missing the SV. Now that I finally got the suspension figured out (well that and enough air in the tires), I no longer miss my SV. Now if it wasn't supposed to rain tomorrow... |
