Scrub the insides of the rims with a brush and simple green, then polish the lips with mothers aluminum polish

if they aren't pitted or stained then some aluminum polish should work.. if they are pretty nasty you can pick up one of those mothers powerball things that attach to a drill. I picked one up but havent used it yet.. looks like it should work well

A fellow at my dealership said to spray and wipe them down with windex, after they've been cleaned. Apparently windex has a property that repels dust or something to that effect.

Here's the trick I use...

If the rims are pitted - don't waste your time polishing - start with 800 to 1000 grit wet dry sand paper. Keep it wet and follow the lines of the rim. Take out any dents and imperfections. It won't take long, and the rims are almost there.

Next, hit it with the Mothers Power Ball, with their aluminum polish. It will gleam!

Then finish with a light wax and your done.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE SANDPAPER - USE AT OWN RISK!!

If you start polishing out with the powerball on heavily pitted aluminum, you'll be there forever.

Cheers

Mike
