Hi,

I'm considering purchasing the LSL steering damper for my XB12S (one of a few things I want to blow my tax return on). But I'm curious about if the steering damper will pretty much negate the ultra-steep rake angle design of the XB12S? As far as I know, the steep angle design allows for quicker more nimble turning of the bike, and some even say it borderline being twitchy. But doesn't the steering damper "slows" that down? So in that sense, the steering damper would cancel out the design that allow the bike to be more nimble?

I'm not an expert in the matter, so I'm asking if anyone can explain this better? Is it true? If so, then would I basically be canceling out the nimbleness attribute build into the XB design by installing a steering damper?

The bars do require a more pronounced input with a steering damper. But in no way does it make it any less responsive or slow down the turn-in.

I have the LSL and use it on its lowest setting.
