Today I was standing next to my bike letting it warm up when I noticed the taillight flickering on and off like someone was playing with the lever. It finally stayed on completely like the brake was on. Any suggestions for a repair? I'm supposed to go for a long ride in the mountains on Sunday so I need my brake light. Thanks all. |

Check your rear brake reservoir. Check the switch at the rear brake pedal. |

Just ran into this on a 9s, the wire terminals just push in the backside of the lightsocket. The wire was loose enough to touch the other power feed and backfeed, causing the brakelight to be lit all the time. Pushed the wires back into place, no problemo! |

I already answered this in the other thread you started, so here it is repeated...................... One of your switches is faulty. If you need to ride before a proper fix, unplug either the front or rear switch and see if the light goes out. Whichever plug you undo that sends the light out belongs to the faulty switch. Leave it unplugged and be sure to use the rear brake more often if it's the front brake light switch that's faulty, otherwise those following won't know you're braking. Rocket. |
