has anyone painted the primary cover or the timing cam cover? The finish is weird . Do i need to strip it first or can I just spray over ? I dont paint so good so any help would be nice. thanks

I think you need to spray it with a plastic paint that promotes the paint sticking first and then go over it with the color you want. I believe this will smooth it out so you don't get a ruff look.

The coating is a powder coating if it is original. Rufing up is the only way to get anything to stick to it, or remove it all together.
