It's in the process now....the mold is almost finished and I'll do the testing on the first and probably give somebody one to test also...we want to get the heat factor under wraps and then it will be ready....I don't have a time frame as of now but if you ask me in a few weeks I'll know better...It will probably be at the Exhaust shootout.... Kev.... cf is reckoned to be weak and unable to withstand the buells power pulses, most cf silencers ive seen ( tuber varients) have tended to fall apart after not too long a period, how do you think yours will stand up to use? |

Kevin, I'll put some miles on it for you, I'm not into carbon fiber so I'd send it back to you for further R&D. Ski |

Kevin, I hope to see it at the shootout. Maybe I can be of some assistance in the testing department. |

I guess we'll see how it holds up....I think you guys know that I don't build things without the thought of the long haul, and I know how these engines vibrate and what it takes to make something last on the bike....most CF silencers are 3 layers thick from what I've measured, so mine will be 7 layers in the mounting areas and a few other things will be added for stability....I guess if it doesn't work I'll go with Ti-..... I'm going to do a few changes in the way of cosmetics and try to integrate some things from the SS design to the conversion Drummer....I'm trying new things all the time and when I find something that works better for us then I'll put it out there....as soon as I get caught up I'll e-mail some of you and get some things out there to test....until then the Drummer will stay unchanged for now...the cool thing I'm working on now is a chain conversion..... Kevin, Chain conversion? If it's anything like the work-of-art Drummer SS, then I'll have to save up even more pennies! (Thanks for taking my order, BTW) If my wife gets wind of my Buell Bling addiction... How about a sprocket/rotor design? All the "hardware" would be on right side of XB, leaving left to show wheel structure only. Mark Oregon |
