So I ordered a new headlight switch from DaveS that took 2 months to get here(my mistake not his).(36$) Went n bought a 4TH! set of silverstars(40$x4) Spent a few dollars on rewiring the grounds to the headlight housings(looks crusty n faded) Spent an hour or so putting it all in HOPING to have headlights again. After all this NOTHING!(money WELL spent!) Still no high beam!! So now I'm pissed n leaving the shop n ripped a nice long wheelie banged second n MISSED third. As I miss 3rd the high beam indicator comes on. I'm like YES FINALLY! 2 seconds later it goes off n I still have no high beam no high beam indicator and a very dull low beam. WTFF!! all the battery cables are secure and nothing seems to be rubbing any were I can see. So anyway i just blew about 80$ on nothing. Anyone got ANY ideas were to check next? Sorry rant over |

Sound like a loose connection somewhere in the wiring. Check the connectors on the undrside of the fuse boxes. You may have a loose pin connector. |

sounds like it might be a bad ground on the front of the bike somewhere. Basically has to be a bad ground if you have power everywhere. This is not that uncommon of a thing to have issues with I'd try running a temporary ground strap from the chassis to the lights to test the theory.
