So did all the Buell news put more fans in the stands? I've heard that like previous years, the stands were almost empty. Was there any buzz on the street about having Buell, or HD, in the race? | ||

While wearing Buell shirts and caps at other Bike Week events (not at the track), I had several people come up and ask me about the new Buell Race Bikes. People seemed very interested! | ||

that's a HUGE increase in attendance. Don't expect the AMA to reverse their decision about the RR with that happening! (not like they should anyway) | ||

I'll bet there was a corresponding increase in the TV audience as well! Anybody know the numbers? Factories building race bikes do not make races happen, fans make races happen.... | ||

The France family is headed in the right direction for moto fans this year at the Daytona track. If you had race tickets there was FREE tent camping in the infield, hot showers were on and the bathrooms were pretty CLEAN with toilet paper and everything. I personally take back everything bad I ever said about their track management. Good riddance to everyone at AMA Racing, they have done nothing but screw up moto racing in the USA for 30 years I have been attending. We'll probably all look back at these years and hope again for the empty bleachers where we could get a seat, see the race and , did I mention, TENT CAMP for FREE...!!! I didn't get my shirt. They seemed to have all been given away.  I wanted to wear it at the races. The stands weren't full but Daytona is huge so its really hard to tell what attendance was like without seeing stats. All the buell chicks were hott. I have a feeling that kind of marketing will force a lot of bike owners to trade in their jap. bikes for a buell. | ||

Well, I can tell you this is the first and LAST time I will watch it on TV. They might as well have called it Durmel (sp?) TV for all I cared. That's all the covered 95% of the race. Next time I'm going to the races. Screw Speedtv. | ||
