Let's say I can stand how loud this pipe is and take the the penalty of my neighbors hating me.How much of a performance gain would i have(with the race ecm)with this pipe? I'm still debating if I may wanna get the micron.Cause I found a deal on ebay for Force system that is like 40% off retail price. |

The force is reputed to be fairly hard to live with around town. There is very little power to be found below 3k. This is second hand though. The micron is probably a better choice for a street bike. |

1st hand, exactly what Diablobrain said. under 3k su*ks. I dont think the race ecm will do to good, might need a little more. Call Al and get the micron |

with my personal exp. I will never own a force product, absolute junk craftsmanship and I dont fancy being deaf from a straightpipe with a megaphone. I will say it was fun foolin with people on cell phones driving though. |

Don't get race ecm, have him re-program your stock ecm to micron/asb filter specs. Plug and play, no tps reset needed because it is same ecm on same bike. race ecm is obsolete if you are having re-programing done. I have micron, very noticeable power increase, sound is very nice, full, but not overly loud. I could use it a tad louder but I'll take go over show - any louder and it is shear "look at me!" factor. I can hear my rpms at speed easy now. With stock I had no clue without the tach |

hey i got the force exhaust and it is really loud... i love it.. i have the race ecm and it still runs lean around 4000-4200, you really need the tfi or the PC3. i am going to order the baffle. the pipe is built with equal length headers, and a megaphone can, there is no back pressure. that is why you will have no low end. i am not saying the baffle will give you the low end back but it should make the power curve a little bit smoother. now for quality... it is a damn strong pipe... i high sided into the grass at about 35 and onto the pipe side she went. the pipes protected the carbon fiber frame covers and no other problems. the black jet hot coating sucks.. no lie about it... wrap the headers... your right leg will feel like it is on fire at a light. another plus is you take the headers off with out moving your motor... 4 piece design makes it easy. now for the rear mount.. i had my pipe put on by harley-buell of pensacola, they forgot to out the rear exhaust bracket on.... dont ask, i dont knowhow they forgot but they did. so after my pipe fell to the ground at about 80 on the highway i called force and they sent me a new rear bracket, a full set of instructions and a new front mount FREE!!! Pensacola paid for a new lower pipe... now my kick stand hits the pipe when it is up. i dont know why but the only thing i can think of is that i use the Jardine chin spoiler mounts.. well good luck i am completely happy with my pipe.. |

I just put the force pipe and header on my 12, Im going to run it on the dyno tomarrow to get the A/F, see how much the pipe craped up the bike. Im just about sure that I will be gettin a DL. I have the baffle in, its loud enough for me. Ill have to get some pix to. looks good with the black header wrap. |

What I want right now is the factory race pipe (as seen on the RR). When those become available my Jardine is history. The new race pipe is relatively quiet as perfiormance pipes go, and will obviously flow enough volume to make big HP. wish there was a smiley for "twiddling my thumbs". |

Might as well get it ALL from Al, I am getting the Micron for my Long, which, I know, is not a 9 like yours, but the power sounds outstanding. I am going to be doing a write up with pictures and hopefully videos in a few weeks on Americanthunderbike.org |

My pals force exploded into pieces ejecting the o2 sesor into his leg while riding, the pipes are thin and cheap, maybe he got screwed. |

I think there have been a couple of generations of the Force pipes. The original ones were notorious for cracking or falling apart all together, but I think the newer ones are a lot better. One of the guys here in KC has the force system on his 9R, and it is deafening to ride next to him for very long. I'm pretty sure that his is not a good representation of what the force would normally sound like since he has an 88 inch kit and all the goodies to go with it. It sounds like with the latest information the Micron/directlink/K&N is the way to go. I believe that Kevin got similar power numbers with one of the Drummers though. I'm pretty sure it is the newest Drummer that is 100% fabbed by Kevin. I've been one of the Drummer downers previously, but with the new pipe that he is making on his own I can not say a single thing against it. A guy in KC has it and the fit, finish and sound is really incredible. Very awesome workmanship Kevin! |
