I have two black, a purple and a brown. The question is which is right and which is left as your facing the front of the bike. Yea, yea I should have marked them but I didnt. Can someone help me out? |

Right Hand is Brown. (Throttle side). Left Hand is Purple. (Clutch side). Think opposite when facing the front of the bike! |

not a problem, the black wires are the ground, and the wires with the stripe on them are the hot coming from the turnsignal relay. Just plug one of your turnsignals up to one striped wire and one black wire and turn on ignition, then turn on the turn signal switch, try each direction until you see the light flash. then you know which one is which. |

Your blinker relay may be fried, or it could just be a fuse. I had some blinker issues for quite a while. I burned out so many fuses I ended up frying a relay. |

I had this problem fitting new turn signals, no problem with the front but fried the 10a fuse every time when I fitted the rears! Turned out the blacks are the feed on my XB12 at the back!Obviously a fault in the loom. |

Ok this is the latest, Lockhart bulbs in the back, and led's in the front. none working. I took a test light to the factory signal wires in the front and nothing. I have the flasher relay unbolted from the triple... would that have to be grounded through that little metal tab on the flasher? Also I have not Brake Light at all. Iv got the Headlight though. Any thoughts Im Just about ready to go insane! This is the only thing let to do before I can ride. and I checked all the fuses, there all good. |

The LED's are probably not making enough of an amp load to trip the relay/flasher box. The brake light should be on a different circuit though. |

you either need a load equalizer (resistor) or an led compatible electronic flasher to mix and match led and standard bulbs. |

you need one of these: http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F2023591&rnd=1005 036&rrc=N&affl=&cip=68.69.238.244&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=16086&cat=&catstr= plug and play, though if you want to mount it, you need to steal the tab from the original flasher and double-stick tape it to the side of this one. Would not having a led flasher make me not read any power comming from my flasher plug. Also would this effect my taillight. |

if there isn't enough resistance on the relay it will just hum...the lights will come on and stay on..i actually have 2 extra resistors left over from when i did my l.e.d. conversions on my stock units....You'll have to trace the power all the way back to the switch if you have it there then check the relay wires...i don't think it will be grounded through the mounting tab...my xb is apart right now so i can go take a look at the wiring if you need me to, just let me know, if u want the resistors i'll ship thenm to you for 20 bucks let me know Bob |
