Well, after all the trials and tribulations of the bike that was too tall.. (05 9sx), I finally moved on to a shorter bike. I found a great 05 12scg (only 253 miles on it!) at Pompano Harley and got a good deal on my trade-in. So, all is much easier now...I miss my 9 sorta, but I'll get over it. Thanks to everyone for your help and advice...I'll keep everyone posted as the mods come along.. they liked the the line-x so much they wanted it to stay that way, so I left it on..I can do it again, it was cheap enough..I'll get another airbox cover and do it, my bike is red now, so I'll leave that and have an extra set. | ||

damn that sucks, i have a 9sl that i was gonna try and raise. I'm in the ft. lauderdale area, that would have worked. oh well. | ||

Angela, I have a airbox cover that would be perfect for Line-X-ing. It has some scuffs on it, but no gouges. Drop me a line if interested, I have it listed in the classifieds. Dan | ||

Hey guys, Useful - sorry, I'd been struggling with this issue since I got the bike...I wish I'd have known you had the same but opposite issue.. Toona - I was hoping to get a translucid airbox, so I could put more lights in it, you have front fenders too? I suppose the blue wouldn't look so good with all the red trimmings..how much do you want and what colors do you have, I'll take your scuffiest one, as long as it's in good shape otherwise. I can only get line-x in black, so I'll leave the fender and windscreen red...man, i'm such a girl..don't mind me! HUGS Ang | ||

Ang, I only have the airbox cover that would be good for Line-x-ing. All of my front fenders are still good. How's $40 shipped to your door sound? | ||

wow..sounds like a bargain Toona..pm me with details, please... Jim - I'll have to work out an outfit..red} is a much easier color for me to work with, so I'll figure something out and have a picture taken... I guess I never took one with the 9 because it wasn't the right bike. | ||
