I'm planning on ordering a Drummer SS soon, but I don't want my dealership to know about it if they don't have to (I have the extended 5 year warranty on my bike). If I get the Race ECM installed and the TPS reset at the dealer, and then install the exhaust myself, will the TPS need to be reset again? |

Nope. Have the dealer install the race ECM and then perform the TPS reset. Ride the bike home and install the Drummer SS yourself, it's easy enough to do. |

Nope...the ECM is "keyed" to the bike and once the TPS is set then it should be good no matter what you do to the bike...assuming you don't modify things so much that the ECM can't adjust enough...but that would be a problem anyways. I have basically the same set-up you do (except I have a "regular" DRUMMER) and it works great...the bike really runs great. Keep in mind the TPS does need to be reset from time to time anyways...when my idle starts jumping around or the throttle is a little funny at lower revs that is when I know it needs to be done...fixes those two symptoms right away when done right plus it seems to pull better on acceleration. |
