I've been searching and only found a few things on this. Drilling holes or cutting the airbox for a 12 (2004 model), any downside to this? Also, if that is all you wanted to do, you wouldn't "need" to do anything else would you? |

The only potential down sides to drilling your air box is increased intake noise, and making your bike possibly run a little leaner, though that shouldn't be a problem with the race ecm. If that is the only thing you do to your bike you should be fine. However, be aware the bikes do tend to run a little lean from the factory because of EPA mandates. Some people have done it with no issues with the stock ECM so it's up to you. |
