There are several people on this sight that use it. I have heard of noone having problems of headers rusting through do to moisture. I guess it is up to you as far as looks. I personally have looked it getting some for my bike when I return. You have to like that streetfighter look that it provides! Patrick |

Not trying to stir up anything, Header wrap will weaken the metal of your header over time. With that said it does look cool on the bikes I've seen it on. |

Cracking will depend on the alloy, mild steel will not hold up as well as stainless, but all these headers get red hot under a load. The prices are way too high on the colored stuff almost twice the normal price. Drag Specialties has it foe even less. ... Terry |

There is a coat spray that you can order from summit.That will help wrap from rotten and also protect metal as well. |

It WILL} increase performance, as a result of increasing exhaust Temp, but will also destroy your headers prematurely. This is why ALL header companies void your warrantee if you use heat tape. Read here: http://www.jet-hot.com/ If you'd like to achieve the same results, use any ceramic coating. |
