I moved to Boxboro, MA about 4 months ago; I used to ride to work every day in SoCal, so not riding for 4 months has been killing me. Today it was 50+, the sun was shining and despite the residual melt and sand on the roads, I fired up the ol' XB9 and went riding. All I can say is that I can't wait for Spring. Roads around here are nothing but off-camber, decreasing radius chicanes with nice sweepers that reward low-end torque. I came back with the biggest sh*t-eatin' grin on my face... Time for some more mods over the winter... Chris |

Welcome to New England. When the warm weather finally rolls around, take a weekend and ride out the Mohawk Trail (Rt.2)to Rt.112 North to VT Rt.100. It's one of my favorite rides in the country. |

Chris, I know exactly how you feel...here in Ireland we're having the longest Winter dry spell in 20+ years (about ten days!) so I did a 210 mile round trip on the XB9r over the weekend.....a balmy 6-9c (42-48f) and cold too ....but it was wonderful....every single second....makes you feel glad to be alive.....you just don't feel like that after a car journey.....wonderful!! |

i also live in ma. and got a 200 mile ride in. felt good to let the xb stretch her legs a little. the sand/salt is awful though. gives a good reason to wash/wax the bike though. cant wait till spring gets here. |

Welcome to NE. It sucks in the winter, but it offers some awesome riding. I hear Sheldons HD in Auburn, MA is the place to meet and ride for Buells. Anyone know about this/done this? I would like to meet up with any area Buellers for a ride or two. |

Honestly...I love it here. I like the change in seasons, don't mind the cold, look forward to the warm and have a fantastic job with a nice house where I can't see my neighbors. Winter just provides the anticipation for spring and summer... Taxes aren't that much higher than Cali... |
