At home. The brake takes minutes. The clutch you need to take the tension off the cable and readjust.Easy!!! |

Too funny. The moment I saw your bike, I started thinking about that robot. All I could remember was that there was a 5 in his name. Now that I completely read your first post, I see it's Johnny 5.
You should get that plate just to see how many people get the joke. |

Think'n about it. The paint is after all mechanical in many ways. Like gears,mechanisms,cables,electricity,etc. Finally found a name for it. I named my last one BadS1,this one is Johnny 5.

Yeah they are. I'd say vision is ok. The three inch ones would probably be some what better but I like the looks of these better. No vibration though and they took some time to get used to but I've had them for 4 years now. Wouldn't have it any other way. |

Tank tracks???? Yikes!!! Seriously though I really thought about doing the wide tire 240mm kit. It really looks sweet and all but I'd want to swap it out for the 180mm and to go back and forth would really suck. I could probably do it for awhile then it get old fast. Then I wouldn't enjoy the bike so much. |

you mean this thing!!!
i thought about doing it with switching to chain instead of belt since i really need to convert that anyway. then all you would have to do when you swap is space the back pulley out a bit from the stock rim and you would be set. realistically wouldnt take ALOT longer than before. |

You also have to space the front Primary Sprocket. I kinda really have done the homework on it. Its a pain in the arse!! |

ya 11mm front offset if my mind is working good today.. space out the idler and counter sink the holes on the rear sprocket with flush mount bolts. but if you leave the offset front one on and switch wheels i was thinking a person could get by with spacing the rear pulley the right amount on the stock wheel and not have to mess with changing everything. once you figured out the right spacers it could become a fairly easy switch back and forth. atleast that was kind of the way i have been checking into doing it. i was debating on machining a good strong spacer for it between pulley and wheel with strong grade bolts. i talked to the guy that built it awhile ago. he said if i wanted he was going to be selling one of the stock widened rims they had built for it. that was awhile ago tho.. sure would look sharp... hint hint... lol |

oh ya, and i am fairly sure you have to space out the foot peg mount also but with alittle shaping i think it could be made to look ok especially if you also did it to the other side just for cosmetic reasons. wont have to be spaced alot, but some. belt should work just fine for what you are wanting, i just threw in the chain conversion part simply because that is my plan since i need alittle stronger final drive than what the stock belt can seem to hold up to.
and great now your wife will want to kick my butt for it too wont she, lmao!
oops just noticed your airbrushing goes all the way onto the peg mounts... hmm.. that might make it alittle more difficult to space them out and look as good... who knows..

an 11mm spacer for the rear sprocket should be fairly easy to machine.
The only semi-tricky part is the indexing ring. you have to have one for the sprocket and machine a pocket into the back for the indexing ring on the wheel.
If you convert to chain there should be no problem with the rear sets. I'll take a look at my clearance in a little while. |

i was looking at mine just where the edge of the belt comes out near them and that seemed pretty close. and to need to move it llmm, i think it would be in the way. in the least it would be hitting the rear brake switch. if i remember right if you get the kit they say to move the right peg out. guess it might need a closer look. |

You have to space the rearsets also. I wouldn't dream of chain. |

I took a measurement with the chain drive. There is right at 11mm of space between the
rear-set and chain. 3 washers fro the hardware store would give you all the clearance
you would need Tim.
I understand Dana, just trying to help Tim (No_rice) work out solutions. He is running
nitrous on one of his bikes and has already stripped teeth off the belt by pushing the
"go button" once.
I love my chain, o-ring chains and chain wax have changed how I used to feel
about them. That and changing final drive ratio is a breeze with a chain drive. |
