I want to install an alarm system on my XB9SX. I've searched previous posts, and decided that the Gorilla alarm is the one to get. However, it sounds like the "ultra-compact" design that Gorilla touts is still not small enough to easily install. Have any Badwebbers out there found a good location? |

try behind the flyscreen, that is the only place on on S where I think there is any extra room.....I had a hard time adding a tire gauge to my tool kit and getting it to fit |

I've got an XB9sx. I installed the "gorilla" alarm in the top of my airbox where the vacuum sensor would go on a 12. then I extended the siren wire to behind the flyscreen and installed the siren there... I got my Gorilla alarm on eBay for about $60 (Message edited by bartimus on January 29, 2006) |

Could you place the alarm facing downward in the air intake hole in the frame? Seems to be the best place as far as accesability to thieves, plus it keeps the weather out. |

I've got a Scorpio and I mounted everything under the seat just fine. The siren/brain is quite small, plus I have separate proximity and shock sensors. The alarm it self is absolutely top notch, but not too cheap. |
