Hello Buell Friends, I am thinking about replacing my 2005 XB12Scg with the new XB12Ss long (I happen to be 6'3 but got a good deal last year). My bike looks like new, no mods at all, 1,500miles. Now to my question: How much should I pay when trading the XB12Scg?? I obviously would like to pay as little as possible, but what do you think is realistic? I know Dave would give me a good offer, but I live in High Point, NC. |

FWIW, Kelly Blue Book trade in value for an '05 Scg is $5810. http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.mr?kbb.TX;338532;TX113&75019;rc;t&&2005;Buell ;XB12Scg%20Lightning;421203;15645;;;;&&&&&. |

Ouch, you might want to try selling it and not trade it in. |

Yeah... I will not trade it in at $6,000, I can tell you that. Dave, what would you pay? |

Get your best trade-in offer, then come here and sell it for a few hundred more. I'll be watching |

It does not seem like a very good idea to trade it in at this point... Does anybody know how much it would cost to modify the Scg to a regular S? I would like the added suspension travel. |
