and so i've burned my leg multiple times. Melted holes in 2 pair of my jogging pants (just sitting on the bike) and a hole in the side of my motorcycle cover. I decided I needed a heat shield since I didn't want the head aches or expense of coating the header or wrapping it. I had a piece of aluminum skid plate sitting around that I made into a heat shield. I still need to file, sand and polish to a nice finish but it worked well and can be removed in seconds. Was only warm to the touch after a 30 mile jaunt today.  | ||

Yes, it is attached with a hose clamp. Thanks for the input. I may paint it black though. | ||
