i am getting ready to start buying these things new from the dealers and put them on ebay to turn a nice profit. I AM SERIOUS! they sell for more than a new one on there. this is like an $85 dollar profit if it was new and its a used one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4602834294& sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT does no one find out prices BEFORE they bid anymore? |

People are stupid. Scary thing is that I may find myself thinking of the fellow that bought that little Buell item is a kindred spirit should we meet up on the road. IMHO he is likely to stupid to ride or get along well with. That aside there are tons of ebay products being sold for more than retail. People get caught up in trying to win the auction at all costs. More American ego. |

I'm in the same boat. Dumped my bike in the fall and have been looking to buy some pieces off Ebay. Forget it. People are buying DAMAGED parts for more than dealer list. WTF?! Its rare that the dealer is the cheapest place to buy parts. |

Screw em. I am going to sell all my busted, damaged parts. Take the money they paid for them, buy new parts and some up grades. |

You really have to watch E-bay for a long time to be an intelligent buyer, I've gotten some really decent stuff for super cheap, but there are a lot of idiots, for sure. I've been thinking of a GEO Tracker for my kid who's about to turn 16 and Edmunds has them running between $700 and $1200 for a moderately used 80k mile 1997. Well one I'd been watching in Chicago went for $3800!! That is one happy ass ex GEO owner, lemme tell you what. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4603301975& sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3APIC |
