I really would like a digital speedometer, but I would like something that would work with the existing wiring harness. Is there a product out there like this or something someone can recommend. |

You could just buy a cheap GPS on Ebay. A lot cheaper and more accurate. |

This doesn't hook-up directly to the stock harness, and you would need to fabricate one on your own using the wiring diagrams from the service manual, but these people have a pretty good setup. Got a decent write up in Road Racing World, too: http://www.aimsports.com |

We offer this one from Motogadgets in Germany. Called the Motoscope, it has speedo, tacho and all sorts of other setting you can call up at the touch of a button (av speed, max speed, max acceleration etc). It is adjustable for Kmph or Mph as well. There is a matching set of warning lights should you want them and although it doesn't use the stock harnes, wiring is easy. length, height, width: 120 x 57 x 30 mm weight: approx. 215 g The mounting bracket is available as an extra. Price for the basic unit is around US$380 |

If you want to go totally ghetto (i.e. CHEAP) you can get a waterproof, wireless bike computer from REI for less than $50. Weighs in the grams, no tach function. |

Garmin e trex vista is down to 269 with a color screen. I have an older vista that sits on my triple clamp with a piece of industrial velcro. IMHO this is a way better option than a fancy 380 dollar multi gage. has maps, points of interest and in my case, glide slope software. I really like the new color units though and they work in sunshine. |
