I'm about to purchase a race ECM for my '03 XB9S. Do any local Denver, Colorado Buellers know the cost of the TPS reset...in addition I remember seeing that you can switch the ECM in the parking lot and then have them reset the TPS is this accurate? I'm just trying to plan my attach. |

Hey Dave, what does a race ECM for an '03 Buell cost with the super good guy discount? |

1/2 hour labor is about standard, around $30 IIRC I would call the shops to be sure, there are only 2 here, so it wont take long. |

Trevor, I just had my TPS reset at Rocky Mountain H-D/Buell. They charged 1/2 hour labor...$35 plus tax. They did a good job. The bike runs much smoother off of idle, than before. Chris, one of the Buell mechanic's, did it and he was very nice to talk to afterward. |

Did you have to make an appointment? |

I'll be doing the same thing soon... probably try Rocky Mnt. HD/Buell... Last time I went to the Greeley shop, I felt like they took a super long time, saw the guy thumbing through the manual... bike didn't run that well afterword. Just my impression though. |

I actually went in the thursday before Xmas, asked if they could get me in now, and they said ok. I would call before. I think I got lucky with no appointment. They said things were slow. With all the nice weather weve been having, that could change I guess. They said they have 2 Buell mechanics. They charge a minimum of 30" to do the TPS that took about 20. I would go back again. |

Do you need to reset the TPS because you are putting in the new ECM? |

I've used the greeley shop, only because i live there and purchased the bike there. Due to this, I've purchased a whole bunch of tools, the shop manual, a lift, and the technoresearch package. Among other reasons, 5 visits to fix a leak in a braided oil line is 4 too many. |
