I would say that is probably a pot shot about the Buells having much larger engines than the other competitors in the Formula Xtreme class. That is my guess anyway. | ||

Do they mean "infamous" because crap weather put the test off several times? I read that they tried to test after the Oct. CCS/FUSA races, but it rained. | ||

Here's the relevant quote: "The work was actually completed last May and June. Since then, sports cars have raced on it, as have the motorcycle club racers this fall, plus testing with Yamaha and the infamous Buell Formula Xtreme shakedown." Sounds to me like the Buells were tested there sometime since June and either did really well or really badly. | ||

I agree with Whodom's assumption. Either something exciting or embarrassing took place. They did cancel a test at Daytona at the end of October due to wheather, but the context seems to indicate a different test. | ||

I would say it was something not good,usually when infamous is used it's not good. | ||

I don't they they actually got and real laps in becasue of the weather. I could be wrong. |
