Would have liked the loud version. But, the standard ver. is also loud. I'm hoping it will be just a tad louder than the Screaming Eagles on my parents HD's but also will help clear up that darn flat spot at 3K-4K. From Kevin's dynos comparing the race can to the Drummer I would say it will. Paul at Gainesville HD convinced me on this. |

The "loud" Drummer is a regular Drummer without the fiberglas packing. It has more effective volume and requires a somewhat different tuning of the FI. Talk to Kevin for details. www.kdfab.com The Drummer SS is a built up from scratch, custom muffler. It has packing and is just a touch louder than a regular Drummer to my ear. It's almost hard to tell the difference in sound between the two. |

Still... even if built from scratch does this not seem like an awful lot of money for just the can? Kevin, if you read this, im really not flaming your product... im just poor and like to bitch i guess. |

Buell 892, It's fine what your opinion is, but you have to go to a machine shop and show them the pics of the billet endcaps and front mount, order the 20 ft length of stainless 6inch pipe, 24 ft of both sizes of tailpipes, all the weldind, sanding , stretching, fitting, polishing, making sure it's ready to leave, shipping, boxes, powerbill, rent, phonebills, all the consumables in the shop, my labor, yeh, it sounds pretty high to me too....good grief, you don't have a clue, start your own business just with the Buell market and see how much money you make.....dude, I'm freakin poorer than you and I can't afford my own , I don't even have an XB, my bike is 10yrs old, my truck is 17yrs old with 240,000 miles and gets 8 miles to the gallon and I commute 68 miles a day to and from work....If you can't afford the Drummer get what you can afford..... Most people cant afford a Ferrari either, so they get a Toyota. Kevin has lesser priced products that still are better than stock. But I think that pic says it all. |

Man i understand that you have a lot of bills... it must be expensive to own your own business. I was just saying there are other quality products that are pretty cheaper, now weather the quality is also cheaper i cant say. I am in no way knocking on your dummer... I love the looks and I really really want one.. they are just soo expensive. Im poor too. Grr Oh well |

If you look at that SS Drummer pic you can see the level of quality that Kevin puts into his mufflers. Paint, welds, construction are second to none on all his products. Perfection. Period. "other quality products that are pretty cheaper...." all I can say is you get what you pay for. |

Yes there are alot of quality products, but if the results are less then there is a quality that is missing from how much quality you could have had to start with, if you buy something cheap and find out that there is a quality missing that you really wanted to start with, then you spent part of the money on something with lesser quality and still have to come up with the full amount for something with the qualities that you were trying to achieve in the first place...to me that is money wasted, something a poor man tries to avoid.. I'm positive what ever choice you make your bike will be way better than stock..have fun!!!!! Kevin www.kdfab.com |

"I'm positive what ever choice you make your bike will be way better than stock..have fun!!!!! " couldnt have said it better myself... and there is no sense in us continuing this convo about the price of your high quality product. It makes no sense.. we both agree! |

Man ain't that the truth. That's exactly why I'm still running the stock pipe. I'll wait as long as it takes to be able to get what I really want. Unlike everything else in my life, there are no compromises when it comes to my bike. |

I ordered the SS a while back, hopefully I get an early Christmas present... I think it is supposed to ship early this next week. it goes to if you don't have enough money or time to do it right the first time, you don't have enough money or time to fix it..... always do it right the first time. |

Man the only thing bad about that pipe is that it goes on the bottom of the bike. That looks really nice and would be nice on the side, but then I would look like everyone else. |

Can't wait for my stock muffler to rust out(or at least appear to be quite rusty)... and with the rain and dust on the road, which "sand blasts" the paint of the back, rust is beginning to form. Although I must admit, its a shame they don't make the stock 12 muffler in stainless. |

Why do all these thread about exhausts have to get off topic to quickly? Anyways, it's installed. I tested sound level against my mothers Low Rider with Screaming Eagles. I think the sound for the Drummer is just slightly louder due to being deeper. Now, to go ride it and let the Race ECM relearn itself. |
